The role

You are experienced in leading teams and delivering high-quality custom software: fluent in .NET Core, C#, and modern web frameworks, with a strong foundation in database design, API development, and system architecture. You enjoy mentoring developers as much as writing code, and you can sit across from a client and turn business needs into technical direction.

What you’ll own

  • Team leadership: manage and guide a team of 2–5 developers delivering custom applications.
  • Software development: design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance software yourself; this is a hands-on role.
  • Architecture: define technical direction, choose the tools, and implement scalable architectures.
  • Collaboration: partner with product, design, IT operations, and QA to align on requirements and deliverables.
  • Agile delivery: lead the ceremonies and keep delivery honest, on time, and defensible.
  • Code review and mentoring: review every merge and grow the developers around you.
  • Client interaction: work directly with customers to understand the business need behind the request.
  • Continuous improvement: stay current so the team’s tooling and practices keep getting better.

Technical skills

  • Back end: expertise in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and EF Core.
  • APIs: SOAP, RESTful APIs, WCF, and Web API development.
  • Databases: SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
  • Version control: strong Git habits across branching, review, and release.
  • Process: Agile/Scrum methodologies and the tools around them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years leading development teams.
  • Certifications in .NET technologies or Agile methodologies are a plus.
